Six days after taking over as Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has had a phone conversation with the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar about Brexit. Mr Johnson reiterated that any withdrawal agreement must abolish the border backstop while Mr Varadkar again said the European Union is united in keeping it and there can be no renegotiation.
